How to start Airbnb co-hosting?

Start with one defined service scope and a property you can support reliably.

Choose a workable service

Decide whether you provide remote guest communication, local operations or both. Identify the hours you can cover and who handles an urgent on-site problem. Do not promise round-the-clock physical response without a local team.

Prepare the operating documents

Create an onboarding checklist covering house rules, access instructions, cleaner contacts, supplies and owner approvals. Separate routine tasks from repairs and emergencies. Agree payment terms and the definition of booking revenue in writing.

Onboard one property

Have the owner review the scope and applicable property-state requirements. Use a co-host invitation instead of a shared password. Walk the property or review an up-to-date walkthrough with the local responder.

Check the first handoffs

Test a guest question, a cleaner cancellation and a same-day turnover. Track who responded and what was missing. Expand only when the process works without depending on undocumented knowledge.
