How to find an Airbnb co-host
Compare service coverage and accountability before comparing a headline fee.
Define the gap
List the work you want to delegate: guest messages, cleaner scheduling, property checks or the full operating routine. State your property location, response needs and existing local contacts.
Interview with scenarios
Ask what happens if a cleaner cancels, a guest cannot enter or an owner needs to approve a refund. Request a sample handover checklist and references you can contact with permission. Ask who covers absences.
Review the agreement
Confirm permissions, spending limits, cancellation terms and who owns the listing and operating records. Ask what the fee includes and which expenses remain separate.
Start with a documented handover
Record access instructions and emergency contacts, then test communication before the first managed arrival. Airbnb provides a co-host discovery network where available; availability there is not a substitute for your own scope review.
